20 (+ 16 alts) The Walking Dead for Challenge 04 - Keep It Simple at 20muses

If this was a Friends episode, it would be titled "The One With All The Alts"! I am apparently not very good at making simple icons. Most of these started out as the alts and then I had to simplify them! I kept wanting to add more brushes, text and textures and it was hard to restrain myself. :X
I'm still not sure if they're all simple enough, so please let me know.
I like the more complex versions of these better tbh, but maybe you disagree! :D

Colours and lighting in this set are so daramatic, I can't even express how much I love the icons.
The crops in #2, #4, #7, #9, #12, and #15 are magnificent. I also love the distant ones, especially in
#6, #10, #13, #18 and #20. The compositions in #5, #14, #16 and #18 are stunning (and I'm definitely saving
those Michonne icons). Also, your alternatives are marvellous! Especially #22, #23, #28, #29 and #33. :D

It's weird how you make simple icons somehow look complex. LOVE LOVE LOVE the coloring in 1. I really gotta check out some of your gorgeous PSDs and see how you do amazing stuff like that. 6 is just immaculate. It's seriously so clean and soft and has amazing contrast and sharpening. The shine in 7 just stuns and kills me. I love how the green is so hazy yet vibrant at the same time! I don't know what to say about 14 other than that it's FUCKING COOL. I just love it. It really walks the line between muted and vibrant, which is so wonderfully strange. 16 is so gorgeously quirky. I love that the simple notion of flipping the image upside down makes the neg space look so different, and the outlining is a nice, subtle touch, as well! The blue/pink combo in 19 is like O___O. The crop in 22 is way too much for me. So perfect. Your alts here are truly amazing! 27 has totally different colors than the entry version, and it's so dramatic and effective cuz of that. It's got such commanding, intense tones! 33 is fucking insanely beautiful. I love the scenery there, which makes it the opposite of your entry, which was super clean and straightforward! PHENOMENAL WORK, IDA. <333

What do you mean you are not good at simple icons? I love each and every one of these. I love the way that I can look at these icons and even though they are simplier than normal, they are still very you. I mean 18 and 19? SO YOU! That texture work and lovely styling. I love the crops in 1, 4, and 9 so much just killer! Pretty!
